Pastor Kate Davidson
Pastor Kate is committed to discipleship rooted in the gospel message of hope. Called to serve as Hope’s pastor in July 2008, Pastor Kate is excited to continue her ministry among a group of believers who are passionate about God and their faith. Firmly believing that God continues to speak to us now, she strives to listen and share that word with the surrounding community and the world.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Pastor Kate was active in many things while growing up – everything from sports to science and engineering. It was her passion for science that led her to study electrical engineering at the University of Southern California. But after two years, she discovered a deeper sense of vocation and mission in ministry and changed her major and school. She graduated with a degree in religious studies and communication from the University of New Mexico. She is also a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, where she received her Master of Divinity (M. Div.).
Pastor Kate recently married her husband, Brady, and greatly enjoys spending free time with him as well as reading books, watching TV, and spending time with her friends. You can often find her on Saturdays in the fall watching college football, rooting for the USC Trojans. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, biking or playing some sort of team sport, as well as traveling.
